Be Sure to Get Facts Straight

A reader asks the newspaper staff to check names, ask the people involved and get more than one view before publishing.

By Jayce Hardy, Reader December 10, 2015 School year 2015/16

I would like to see people get more into detail with their stories. Not just by saying more elaborately, or more into detail. You need to get more than one view on things. If you want a story on how I got hurt, you should ask me rather than assuming you knew what happened. Make sure if you are going to mention someone in a story, make sure you have his correct name and not his Facebook name. It seems that nobody really has enough information to even write the article. You need to get your facts straight or the paper is going to be wrong. Paul and I are both a little upset that nobody really put a lot of work into getting their article correct.
