When you’re dancing you should not be dancing in skinny jeans and tight shirts. You need baggy clothes, ones that you can flow in.
If you have a baggy, flowy shirt then when you’re leaping in the air or hitting the floor it will be easier and look better. Earrings are okay if they’re studs, but if they’re dangling or hoops then that can cause you to get hurt.
In your dance you have connections with your fellow dancers like holding hands and doing flips, then they can accidentally grab your earrings and rip them out, which can lead to bleeding and can lead to infection.
Dance is not something that you should wear your school or professional clothes to; you should have “lazy” clothes. The half sock thing is a very good thing if you cannot afford dance paws or shoes.
You probably want to pull your hair into a ponytail, and if you still have bangs and layers hanging out put a headband on to hold your loose hairs back.
You also want to have a lot of water, even dump some on your forehead if you get too hot, because you may pass out. Heatstroke or fainting is possible when participating in physical exercise.
Remember to wear loose fitting clothes that won’t distract you in dance. Earrings are fine if they’re studs but can cause severe injuries if they’re dangling. Keep cool with plenty of water and pull your hair back. Make sure to go over a mental checklist of these things before you start dance.
